POWER!!!

Greetings from Kongiganak! :) It has been above zero here for the past week, and it has been absolutely wonderful to take walks on the frozen tundra. I just need to remember my ice cleats and my fox jabbing stick! :)

We also have been out of power at the school for almost 2 weeks! You never realize how much you use power until you no longer have it! It has been a challenge to go "old school" with my lesson plans: Teaching using flashlights and textbooks - Oh Alaska! We also just got internet back today since we need power to connect to the server in Bethel. The things we take for granted are the blessings I think God for everyday out here! :)

Below are a few pictures of the beautiful snow we have EVERYWHERE! There are so many stories I could share, about not having heat, plumbing, and water, but for now, here's a quick snap shot!

Anyone cold yet? :) It has been one CRAZY experience, and God is continuing to work in many exciting ways!

Happy Valentines Day!

With Love,
Kersten
